Hey! Not much hibernation in Invernesd nor at Cabot Links! Lots of construction as those 48 chalets begin to rise from the dunes! Well, not actually, the dunes are protected areas and the chalets overlook the greens, fairways and sand dunes. It is a special place to live- even in mid-winter! See you this summer and thanks fir the review about our Cabot Links

I am an 80 year former caddy and caddymaster.Thank you for a marvelous interview with Bob Toski. I worked at Wolferts Roost CC in albany, N.Y. during the 1940's. Milon Marusic was a great player and friend of my brothers and I. I caddied in some foursomes in which Bob Toski played with Milon and Ted Kroll. Also I was fortunate to work under Milon in the shop in 48 and 49. I was supposed to go and caddy for Milon on the winter tour 1949/50 but went in the military for the Korean war had started. The players that Bob Toski mentioned in the interview I have seen play in tournaments [us open and us pga] and alos in exhibitions. It was a great era to grow up in as Mr. Toski so perfectly put it. I would like to talk to you some time if you are interested. I understand you are an alumnus of SUNY Albany. If you are interested in contacting me please do. One other name I will mentioned is the great Tom Creavy. He was a great friend of some of my relatives and I had the good fortune to caddy and also tee it up with Tom at the nearby Saratoge spa course. thank you for your effort.
I live in Bandon, OR. That "snail" by your room doorway is called a slug. They are noted for eating expensive landscaping, so we generally get rid of them. Some lure slugs to a pie tin filled with beer, and the little buggers drink themselves to death. Others sprinkle them with salt or ammonia and watch them disintegrate. You can buy powdered slug killer, but the rain generally ruins the powder before the slugs get to it.
One more thing--the best food in McKee's Pub is at the bottom of the menu: tenderloin steak sandwich, with sweet potato fries, of course. Three medallions of medium rare filet mignon on a hoagie roll with heavenly sauce. You will not regret ordering it. (My daughter-in-law's uncle is the head chef at the Pub.) Hope you come back soon!

I took the trip to Scotland ten years ago this summer and it was a great trip. Would love to do it again but, I have been in love with Bandon from my first trip there in 2004. I have not played the Trails yet so, and with the addition of The Preserve, I still have an excuse to go back. Luckily my wife is from Oregon so we visit there frequently. It is a pricey golf expedition but I worth it. I second the motion on a caddy again an added expense but well worth it. Anyway, I don't have enough superlatives in my vocabulary to describe how much I think of this place.
